DUGINE MINE SERVICES (DMS) is a company that is 50% owned by BBKY Services Limited and 50% owned by
Coalroc Contractors Pty Limited. DMS is an indigenous focused Company undertaking surface works within the Bowen Basin's coal industry and also agricultural and local Government organisations. BBKY are the traditional custodians of areas of Central Queensland.

Coalroc Contractors Pty Limited has been involved in the mining community of the Bowen Basin for the past fifteen years as mining contractors. They have a broad and extensive knowledge and experience base from which to draw and support DMS, particularly in the areas of administration and management.

DMS was created out of the need for labour, skilled and otherwise, in the mining community of Mackay and the Bowen Basin. Instead of looking to source a workforce from interstate and overseas as other local Companies had, they took the experience learnt from the involvement with another indigenous people, the Upper Hunter Wonnarrua Council (U.H.W.C) in NSW and met with Mackay based BBKY to form DMS.

Mackay strives to provide a culturally appropriate service to our local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community, and the Australian South Sea Islander community. It has the largest population of Australian South Sea Islanders in Australia, numbering between 5000 to 6000. Mackay has a strong working relationship with Australian South Sea Islander groups.
